What is Biodiversity?

and why is it important?

Biodiversity means the biological diversity of all life on this planet. It includes humans as well as all forms of wildlife from elephants to microbes and other tiny organisms, from giant trees to the smallest of plants. It includes fungi and lichen.

Biodiversity covers everything which is alive in the seas, on land, in the air, in the soil.

And the healthy balance between all the organism whether animal, plant or fungi is vital for the continuation of life.
